Part-time job opportunity (14 months, freelance)
Broadford & Strath Community Company has secured funding from the Crown Estate Environment Fund to set up a pilot Community Tree Nursery at the Growers Hub community allotment site. We are recruiting a part-time Project Officer to deliver this project. The work will include recruiting volunteers; setting up a germination/growing environment in one of our polytunnels; collecting, sowing and caring for seeds; and running a small number of learning events.
The role combines practical, hands-on activity with administrative and organisational duties. We are seeking a self-motivated and well-organised individual with horticultural knowledge, experience of working in a tree nursery or woodland environment, and experience of working with volunteers.
This is a self-employed role for a fixed term of 14 months, 38 hours per month, at £20 – £22 / hour depending on experience.
