We are recruiting a part-time Project Officer to deliver our part of the Highland Community Waste Partnership. The project is working to reduce waste and encourage more sustainable consumption across the Highlands through a range of initiatives and events. Find out more about the project here.
The Highland Community Waste Partnership (HCWP) is a programme funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, and coordinated by Keep Scotland Beautiful, which is being implemented in collaboration with eight partner community groups across the Highlands. The project seeks to build collaboration across the eight partner community groups and beyond, aiming to reduce consumption and waste across the Highlands, and establishing a movement focused on more sustainable consumption, consistent with a Net Zero future.
Broadford and Strath Community Company are recruiting a Project Officer. The role will cover the whole of Skye and will include establishing initiatives with Skye Communities and Businesses to re-use cardboard, use re-usable containers, deposit return schemes, run Skye-wide events such as climate cafes, repair and upcycling workshops, swishing, swapping and zero-waste events. The Officer will work closely with all project partners.
