Saturday 27 Jan, 11-2. Have your say on our community-owned woodland
Come along to Camping Skye and share your ideas for the future of Broadford Community Woodland.
With support from the Highland Council Community Regeneration Fund, we are developing a 10-year action plan for the woodland – and we want you to help us shape it.
Working with community woodland consultants we have been investigating the feasibility of various proposals, including many put forward by the local community. These include environmental opportunities such as peatland restoration and native tree planting, as well as commercial woodland management options and income-generating ideas.
We hope you will join us on Saturday 27 January in the Campers’ Shelter at Camping Skye. Event details:
- 11 – 2: Drop in, see proposals, have a chat and share your ideas
- 12 – 12.30: Informal presentation by Kilfinan Woodland Consultants
- 1 – 1.45: Walk around the woodland.
Light lunch / refreshments will be available.
The Campers Shelter is wheelchair accessible. However due to recent wet weather we regret that the woodland path may be unsuitable for wheelchairs.
We will also be sharing the consultation online for 2 weeks after the event – the link will be made available on our Community Woodland page.
