“Camping Skye” is taking shape!

Oct 31, 2017

We are delighted to see our Community Campsite “Camping Skye” taking shape nicely.   Over the past few months MacDonald Groundworks have transformed the clear-felled forest site creating access roads, services, 26 pitches for camper vans and caravans as well as camping terraces and an event space.

RK Joinery has also laid foundations for the three buildings and has erected the structural frame of the Service Building (in the picture) which will house toilets, showers, wash-up and drying room. We plan to have the structures of other two buildings – the Wardens’s Office and Maintenance Shed – up before the end of the year.

Over the winter months, Scottish Woodlands, will be helping us plant a range of native trees and shrubs around the site which will, in time, provide privacy for the vehicle pitches, shelter for the tents, and a welcome habitat for local wildlife.

Please contact us if you would like any more information and keep your eye open for Community days where you can come and have a look for yourself!!
