BSCC is seeking a part-time Community Woodland Manager to manage and develop Broadford Community Woodland as a community asset.
We are looking for someone with qualifications and experience in forest or land management, experience in recruiting and leading volunteers, and excellent organisational and management skills. Strong communication skills and an ability to motivate and inspire others with a commitment to development at a local level are also required.
The post-holder will be responsible for successful implementation of the Woodland Management Plan, developing the woodland as a venue for community volunteering and nature restoration. The role involves overseeing harvesting operations, managing volunteers, overseeing nature restoration activities, and pursuing development projects to improve access and support long-term sustainability.
This is a part-time post (0.6 FTE), for 3 years with potential to extend subject to funding. It is a hybrid role, based primarily in Broadford with some home working.
