South Skye Community Hub Project Officer
The community of Broadford have been campaigning for a desperately needed new Primary school for more than 10 years. A community volunteer group, facilitated by the Broadford and Strath Community Company, has worked with the Scottish Government, Highland Council and various Community Partners and in 2020 a new Broadford Primary School was put firmly on the Highland Council capital plan. Planning permission is to be submitted by Highland Council in May 2022 with an anticipated completion date of August 2025.
As part of the Broadford Primary School development there is an opportunity for new and improved Community facilities to be built alongside the new school.
The Broadford and Strath Community Company and the Broadford Primary School and Hub Working Group are seeking an individual to support the aspirations of the Community and the work of the group.
Key tasks:
• Liaising with Community and Partners
• Options Appraisal
• Source funding
• Develop business plan
• Develop an environmental plan
This is a fixed term, part time post of 3 days per week until March 2023.
