Don’t let your child miss out on the benefits of outdoor learning!
“A fantastic place for [our children] to socialise and learn” (parent)
Our Corry Capers outdoor learning after school sessions are now under way for the autumn term. We have some spaces available on our Monday and Friday sessions. Find out more about Corry Capers on our project page. Contact Outdoor Learning Manager Tracy Keenan at tracy@broadfordandstrath.org / 07939 655783 to enquire and to enrol your child.
Make sure your child doesn’t miss out on the opportunity to:
- Connect to nature
- Develop skills
- Enjoy screen free play
- Build social confidence
- Enjoy self-expression
The benefits of outdoor learning and play, especially in a woodland setting, are widely acknowledged. For example: “Evidence shows that for children who are given the opportunity to experience outdoor learning and play, often there are associated improvements in their physical, social and emotional development, as well as in their disposition to learning and their attainment levels.” (Scottish Government, Scotland’s Forestry Strategy 2019-29).
Corry Capers is fully accredited by the Scottish Care Inspectorate, and sessions are facilitated by experienced play leaders. Places are limited so register now to avoid disappointment.
